ABOUT THE AUTHORS & ILLUSTRATORS
Elizabeth Hansen has worked as a scriptwriter and story developer for Orange since 2011. She holds an MFA in screenwriting from Regent University and currently wears hats in both the 252 Kids and First Look worlds, writing for 252 Story, Get Reel, Studio Live, FX, Wonder, and more. Elizabeth and her husband, David, write and produce films through their company, Arclight Studios. They have two sons and live in Canton, Georgia.
Dan Scott has been working with kids for over 20 years as a camp director, teacher, pastor, and communicator. He is currently the groups director for 252 Basics, helping to lead the creative team that writes this curriculum for elementary children. Dan and his wife, Jenna, have four kids, Liam, Elli, Addi, and Taye, who keep them very busy and completely up to date with all things in the elementary and middle school worlds. Lauren Terrell has been writing for Orange since 2006, contributing to books such as Lead Small (Orange's popular handbook for small group leaders) and several devotionals for kids. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a focus on reading and special needs. Having led small groups for several years, she is currently learning the ins and outs of the preschool world as she and her husband clamber through parenthood with two small children.
Brian Bascle is an illustrator, cartoonist, graphic designer, and voice actor. He has worked with Orange since 2007 and creates art and graphics for the 252 Kids and 252 Preteen curriculum and is an illustrator and storyteller for 252 Story. When he's not drawing pictures, cooking up graphics, or telling stories, Brian performs voiceovers for commercials, corporate videos, audiobooks, and automated telephone systems. He also acts on stage and screen when he can.
Brian is an Atlanta native living in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife, Jane, and their two kids, Mike and Teresa, one dog, two cats, and way too many squirrels in the backyard.
